About

Every country is its own planet. Every tax system tells a story. –Rizqa Lahuddin

Tax Explorer • Traveler • Storyteller

Wherever I go, I can’t help but wonder how taxes work. Whether I’m buying a cup of coffee, checking a receipt, or shopping for souvenirs, I’m always curious about the tax system behind the transaction. Why is VAT different here? How are public services funded? What makes this country’s tax system unique?

Those questions inspired me to create Planet of the Tax.

This website and its companion YouTube channel explore tax systems from around the world through stories, research, and real-world examples. Rather than focusing only on tax rates and regulations, I look at how taxation reflects a country’s history, economy, culture, and priorities.

You don’t need to be an accountant to enjoy the journey. Whether you’re a traveler, a student, a business owner, or simply someone who enjoys learning how different countries work, there’s something here for you.

Because tax is more than numbers—it’s a window into how countries think, grow, and build their future.

Welcome to the Planet of the Tax.

I’m Rizqa

I’m a traveler, a storyteller, and a self-confessed tax nerd.

Whenever I visit a new country, I’m curious about more than its landmarks and local food. I also want to know how its tax system works. Why is the VAT rate different? How are public services funded? What can taxes tell us about a country’s history, economy, and culture?

That’s the idea behind Planet of the Tax.

Through this website and my YouTube channel, I explore tax systems around the world and turn complex topics into stories that anyone can enjoy. My goal isn’t to give tax advice—it’s to make taxation easier to understand and a lot more interesting.

After all, every country has a different tax system, and every tax system has a story.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’ll join me as we explore the world—one tax system at a time.
